I turn 30 in an hour. I guess it's supposed to be a big deal but it doesn't feel like one. When my mom turned 30 she went out with a group of friends, got drunk, and got a tattoo. I don't think I'll be going to that extreme. :)
I'm thinking cake with my family and writing.

I'm the same way -- a bit low key. I don't need to trash the place to have fun. Makes for cheaper bills, ya know? ;-)

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Thirty doesn't feel much different from twenty-nine. I kept it pretty low key. A nap with my husband, a visit to my mother's, and brownies with my best friend. I did buy myself a little present with some birthday money. It's a cup with a screw on lid and a plastic straw. That way I can take my iced tea into the car without having to reuse plastic water bottles.
